This is a quick code prototype I did to calculate the intersection point and bounce vector after a collision I'm hoping to use this for some games P.S: If the blue line disappears or doesn't follow the drag point that's the Mouse_Move fault
Learn the very basics of AS3 Author Comments: Okay... I decided to upload this thing. I argued with myself whether or not i should, but what the heck! So, well basically learn the very basics on how to code actionscript 3.0 Enjoy =D EDIT: I just realized something... The images look like crap. Sorry for this, but they don't do this on my computer. And before you post anything, yes, i have indeed sat the size to the same as in my .fla file
Classic web title preserved in WebAssembly. Developer: Tom Danvers.
This is my remade tutorial... Still the best on for AS3! Author Comments: This took me an hour to remake... I added an explanation for the actionscript. Some color to make it appear less gloomy. And some extras at the end. Here's the link to the original: http://www.newgrounds.com /portal/view/494111 Hope you enjoy! Vote/Review
A tribute to Summoning of Spirits, an album/project by OCReMix Author Comments: First of all, check out Summoning of Spirits if you haven't already. The song I used is from there, details of the author/remixer, composers, and album on the flash and on the site too. Second of all, Low Quality is recommended. I originally meant to have this posted on DA only, but since I ripped the preloader from Newgrounds (and don't want my stuff stolen XP), I posted it here! And if you don't know what Summoning of Spirits is, google it! Oh, and the OCR icon (golden and stuff) is also from the people who made the album/project.
ASCIIvader is a basic but crazy hectic avoider game! How long can you survive? Author Comments: Use the arrow keys to move around and avoid EVERYTHING! New enemies will keep appearing, and you've gotta dodge them all. You do get a health bar for 3 hits to keep from dying too fast at least... How long will you survive? Can you go a full 90 seconds??? This game was created for the Experimental Gameplay Feb 2011 challenge: ASCII. I actually made it in 6 hours! If it gets any kind of plays at all, or you see even a glimmer of fun in it, I'm planning a much better version (to fulfill the whole one-week challenge to Experimental Gameplay), where you can return fire, fight multiple enemies, play with multiple difficulties (bigger versions of Squareface) and the like. It'd be called ASCIIvader 2: Revenge is a Dish Best Served Square.
An evader with a twist β youβve got a gun, but every hit splits an enemy in two. The more enemies on the screen at once, the more points youβll get per second, but the harder it is to dodge! Good luck! Instructions Arrows shoot, WASD moves (diagonal for both too)
